I am a school culture leader who has led teams at a high-performing organization as a Managing Director to ensure that all students have a safe, inclusive, and equitable experience at school each day. I have created cultural teams and systems from the ground up so that beliefs about what is possible for all students, if given the right conditions, permeate every department in the organization.

 

I have led a district of schools through numerous crises- hurricanes, flooding, school shootings, and a global pandemic- and through each, stabilized the communities with the supports, resources, and care that they deserved.

 

I founded the first Discipline Alternative Educational Program for a charter organization in the state of Texas in an effort to provide a therapeutic space for students who needed additional support and as a result, reduced expulsions for the organization by 85%.

 

My entire career, I have worked to disrupt systems that get in the way of our students having full access to the opportunities they desire and have made sure that they have the supports to wrap around them along their journeys.

I have a passion for creating the right conditions in our school buildings and in our districts so that ALL students, no matter what they may need, can feel safe and free to learn and be themselves. I am driven by my values and belief in what is possible in education if we truly hear what kids are saying they need from us. I am a visionary who can make a strategic plan come to life. I am a coach who can see the root cause of problems and create strategic actions to tackle them. I am energized by working with a coalition of like-minded educators who are all working to proliferate freedom for all.
